When it comes to playing poker, being a great player comes with the ability to be able to read the opponents faces, and movements through their body. These behaviors are often referred to as ‘tells’ and are an important part of learning the game of poker to be able to determine the bets that are going to be made on the behavior of the other players within the game.

Here are some of the common poker tells that you can know about when it comes to playing poker:

Watch out for players with trembling hands. Although most beginners would associated trembling hands with being nervous about a bad hand, trembling hands can also often be associated with players being excited about the prospects of a stellar hand. Look out for this sign with players that are making changes in their betting patterns.

In the case that players are making changes within their betting patterns, one should take notice. Changes that are made in the betting patterns can mean that a player has a hand they are willing to play, especially if the player has been known to be a cautious player throughout the rest of the game.

Pay attention to the attention that players pay to their cards. Does the player repeatedly look to the cards to compare the cards which are on the table? The player may be trying to match a pair within the table, triple cards or even trying to match various flushes or straights in the case they are unable to remember the cards which are in the ‘pocket’.
