Etiquette While Playing Poker

0 Comments 04 February 2010

When it comes to playing poker, just like playing all other types of games within a casino environment, it is important to pay attention to the rules and guidelines of etiquette that have been created to ensure that all players are able to play the game enjoyably. Here are some of the guidelines that you should adhere to when it comes to playing poker etiquette:

· Leave enough room for those beside you to play. Leaving enough room for those beside you to play and take part in the game with enough room to stack their chips is an essential part of the game. You should leave enough space for those on either side of you – and they will often extend the same request.
· Be verbal while at the poker player with the dealer, as well as using hand gestures. This can help to reduce the miscommunications that can occur throughout the game. Through this, the players within the game can be clear with one another – which can also help to avoid disputes.
· Once the chips have been placed in the pot to bet, the players are not allowed to touch the chips. Touching the chips once the bets have been made can lead the dealer to pull in all bets that have been made at the table and therefore can confuse the other players that are taking part in the game.
